The Good Sam Club?

The Good Sam Club is the largest RV club in the world. Anyone who has spent any time driving the highways of America has no doubt seen a familiar smiling Good Sam decal on the back of countless recreational vehicles.

The club got a modest start 36 years ago when a handful of RV owners put Good Samaritan bumper stickers on their rigs so fellow members would know they could get help on the road. Right from the start the club grew. And before long it was the world's largest association of RVers. In the early days, Good Sam members spread the word at RV parks and other club events. Soon everyone wanted to know how to get a Good Sam "smiling face" decal.

Today, the primary goal remains the same as it was at the beginning: to make RVing safer and more enjoyable, and to save members money through club-endorsed benefits and services. The Good Sam Club is now one million RVing families strong and still growing.

Most RVers consider a membership in the Good Sam Club essential, if for no other reason than to take advantage of the 10% discount they will receive at most RV parks. It doesn't take many stays to earn back the modest cost of a membership. The organizaton's monthly magazine, Highways, is only available to members and is regarded as one the best of the half-dozen or so major RV periodicals.

The annual membership fee is $25, but RVers can take advantage of a $19 internet special at the group's website.
